Fallow deer are again in Oakley Wood and captured by our camera. I’ve put together a video to show the dramatic difference in size between muntjac, roe and fallow deer, all captured from the same spot.
The fallow is an unusual dark (melanistic) form, most are fairly pale and obviously spotted.
Note that if the video plays at low resolution, you can increase it by clicking the gear symbol at the bottom and selecting a higher quality (720p).
That’s a brilliant and v informative wild life recording. So important that the Friends have a camera in place.
